Whew! Back from a busy weekend!! I had my first Bridal Show this past Saturday, and luckily it went perfectly! I’m so thankful to have met so many wonderful Brides & Grooms, and can’t wait to work with some of you! I’ll have to pull some shots of the finished booth on the blog later this week. Now I get to show off an amazing session with one talented lady!

SO excited to share some of these images with you all! Ever since I started working with Amy Long, the Creator & Editor of The Lovely Find, a beautiful southern wedding blog, I knew the session would be something beautiful to share! Once Amy gave me an idea of what she was looking for in terms of the session, I luckily got Leigh Pearce, of Leigh Pearce Weddings to help stylize the shoot, and Carla White for hair and makeup on board… talk about talent!  Working with the Groome Inn made things so easy, and not to mention a beautiful venue to photograph! I can’t forget to mention the beautiful bouquet provided by the Farmer’s Wife, thanks to Miss Leigh for getting that in order! I had it made working with such a dream team of vendors.

This shoot is meant to give you a little insight to the creative mind behind the Lovely Find, and just see how this southern gal rolls.  She made my job easy, and I hope she is as happy as I am with how the images turned out. Amy, thanks for rocking this session!!

Photos make some of the best gifts. Well, good friend & talented wedding planner Leigh, of Leigh Pearce weddings, contacted me in December for a Christmas Mini Session, which included Leigh, and her sister Whitney.  They had this session done for their parent’s Christmas gifts, so thank you guys, for allowing me to do the honors of photographing you crazy sisters!

We met up on the campus of Greensboro College, which has such a great, simple setting. We had perfect lighting & weather, for a Sunday afternoon in December! I’m sharing just a few of my favorites!

I’ve been lucky enough throughout these past two years to work with Leigh through weddings, stylized shoots, and networking. She is an amazing planner, and provides so much creativity & fun inspiration to the Triad wedding industry.  For those of you who do not know Leigh, I’ve asked her a few questions on life, business, and weddings! Tell us a little about Leigh Pearce Weddings:  Leigh Pearce Weddings, based in Greensboro, serves the Triad with professional wedding planning, coordination, and event design.  Our design inspiration comes from anything vintage, we swear that Anthropologie is a wedding style, and we LOVE agood ol’ fashioned Southern wedding.   Leigh Pearce Weddings has grown from just myself to a team of four very talented women and some awesome interns.  We continue to have the BEST brides and, thus, weddings; and I can’t wait to see what 2012 has in store for us!

Favorite wedding moment of 2011:   Two of my best friends got married this year so those will have to take the cake!  However, I have to admit, I’m a terrible wedding guest so I prefer working at weddings rather than attending them. 

Your favorite wedding style at the moment:  My favorite wedding style right now (and always will be) is Southern.  You can go modern Southern, vintage Southern, country Southern.. a million different directions, but you always come back to one thing.. Southern.  A Southern wedding isn’t necessarily always a style, but a feeling you give your guests.  A little Southern hospitality if you will. 

Best wedding resource:  Hands down, Pinterest.  Pinterest is such a great resource and we use it ALL the time with our brides.  It helps our vendor meetings go more smoothly, it provides images to couple with descriptions and magazine clippings, and it’s just plain awesome.  Follow me atwww.pinterest.com/leighpweddings for some daily inspiration!

What is your idea of an ultimate day off:  If I’m tired after a long wedding weekend, I like nothing better than to snuggle with my pups and catch up on my DVR (The Young and the Restless is a bad habit I just can’t kick).  If I’m wanting to get out of the house, I love to go thrifting.. usually for wedding décor.  What can I say?  I’m a wedding junkie.
